The Hangout Project attempts to resolve the fundamental problem that impedes robust community efforts: there are no nighttime low-key hangout spots. There are designated third spaces cropping up throughout New Jersey, but these places are only open for events. That’s great, but we also need neutral spaces where you can just go and meet new people and hangout with friends. Right now, that’s not possible because of a prohibition-era law that was never amended. To change it, we need a movement, and that movement starts with you. So please, submit your third space story, a moment of community that really stuck with you, or what more third spaces would mean for you and your community. Let’s Hangout!
